About Us
Who We Are
At the Detroit School of Autism, we provide a safe, nurturing, and communication-focused learning environment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Our preschool, pre-K, and kindergarten programs are designed specifically for young children with ASD. We integrate school-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), speech, occupational, and behavioral therapy to help every child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
We Support Families
Beyond the Classroom
We know supporting a child with ASD means supporting their family. Using Brightwheel, we provide daily updates, progress reports, and direct communication so parents are always informed and involved.

Our goal is to make the admissions and onboarding process clear, calm, and collaborative so you feel informed in your decision. Here’s how it works:

Take a Tour of Our School
See our classrooms, observe routines, and ask questions about programs and therapies.

Submit Interest Questionnaire
When you’re ready to move forward, you will fill out a questionnaire to help us determine if our program can meet your child’s needs.

Evaluation & Family Follow-Up
Our Enrollment Director will get in touch with you. If we’re a good fit, we’ll request your child’s medical records and other paperwork to get started.

Enrollment & Onboarding
We’ll have you fill out an enrollment form for your child, and then get you connected to Brightwheel from day one!
